Formation of the Economic Momentum Commission (EMC) was announced by Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle on June 7, 2005.  The goal of the EMC is to develop an action plan to sustain the state's current economic momentum over the longer term, reduce the traditional peaks and valleys of economic cycles, and enhance Hawai`i's natural and cultural resources.
